Peru Presentation

Here is the Peru Inquiry group presenting their findings.  Also the presentation that they used during their oral presentation and the rubic marking sheet for their group.

These two are my best friends the name are Tokilupe and Rachel I am there best friends as well. What I like about them because they hang out with me when I am so sad or when I have no one to play with. BFF everyday!!!!

Cultural Day!!!!!

On Friday morning I was so scared because we were going to present our presentation to Room 6 and Room 7. Once we got to school we had to go to church to celebrate cultural day with Father. Once we got to the church we had to sit down on the seats and wait for father to come. Later on when father was in the front we had to sing Come as you are while Father was walking down the isle.

Later on when we came out of the church we had to get our pencils from our classroom and then we had to go to room 7 so they can present their presentation to Room 3 and Room 6. Once Room 7 had finished getting sorted United Kingdom started their presentation and Peru and India had to asses United Kingdom. Once United Kingdom had finished their presentation we had to give our assessment paper to our teachers once we had finished circling the box we want to circle. Later on some other countries were presenting their presentation to us and some other people was assessing that country.

Later on it was morning tea and I was very nervous because we were after morning tea so I went and had a drink before the bell rang. After morning we were getting ready to present our presentation and Peru was first so we had to sit next to the door and getting ready to present and we had to wait fro Room 7 and Room 6 to come into Room 3. Once Room 6 and 7 came in Miss G got our presentation ready and Peru getting ready as well.

Later on Peru had to stand up and present our presentation and Rachel has to move the slides if we have to talk. When Peru was finished we had to go and sit down and Argentina had to go I felt very nervous because we were going to present our presentation ro Room 7 and Room 6. When we came back from the dance I was very happy because our dance was finished and our presentation. When I got back home I was very tired because all day on Friday we were presenting our presentation and our dance to the whole school.

When Room 3 had finished their presentation we had to go to Room 6 so they can present their presentation to Room 6 and Room 7 and Peru and United Kingdom was assessing India. After India it was Thailand, China and then Japan. Once they have present their presentation it was lunch time and then we had to go and get our lunch and then after lunch time we have our dance in the hall.

After lunch time we had to get changed into our disco clothes and then we had to walk to the hall and the Juniors were invited to come and see our cultural dance in the hall. Once we got to the hall we had to sit down and wait for the classes to come into the hall.  Once everyone was settled  Room 7 went up and sang their song and danced during the song was on. After Room 7 it was our class after that we had to walk with your partners up to the stage. Once we got up to the stage we had to wait for the music to get ready. Once the music was on we had to dance with our partners. Later on when we had finished our dance it was Room 6 ‘s turn to dance to the whole school. Once they had finished their dance we had to go back to our classroom so we can get changed and then go back home. Once we got back home I told my mum that we had a amazing day doing our dance and presentation, she said “I am so proud of you”.

Touch Training!!!!

What I am looking forward to for Touch is getting to know our couch and getting to know what touch is.

I am expecting that at the end of the lesson if we be good we could play some games.

We are doing this Kiwi Sport so we can be better at playing Touch.

We might see cones, rugby balls, coach and students.

We are doing a kiwi sport with a coach from the Touch NZ, we are only doing touch for 3 weeks and at the end of the 3 weeks we are having a touch tournament the whole school are joining.

Manaiakalani 2013!!!

On a lovely, sunny day we went to Sylvia Park to watch movies that are part of the Manaiakalani Cluster.

When the bell rang we went to the hall to do the roll call and then after that we had to walk to the bus. Once we walked into the bus we had to walk all the way to the back and then Miss Deeney told us where to sit so I sat at the back with Kalolaine.

Later on the bus was starting the engine then some of the Room 7 students came on the bus and we had to drive all the way to Mt Wellington to where Sylvia Park was. Once we got to Sylvia Park we went and found a parking for the bus then we walked out of the bus to Hoyts. Once we got to the Hoyts it was very dark, it looked like it was a forest that was very creepy. Later on we went and found our seats which were uncomfortable because it was not soft and I was squashed with J.T and Vaine in one chair.

Patrick and Alecia came up and presented our movie that was called SUCCESS. After they finished talking the movie came up on the very huge screen. Some other schools came up and presented their movies to.

Later on the film festival was over and then the lights came back on and we had to sit and wait for Glen Innes Primary to go outside so we could go back to our bus.

Once we got back to school we had our morning tea and we only had 10 minutes of morning tea.

My favourite part was when we watched the Magic Teacher by St Patrick’s. The Magic Teacher caught a little boy playing games under the tunnel outside near the playground. While he was playing games there was a sign on his netbook saying “I know where you are, I know what you are doing” he was very scared that the teacher caught him. After that the teacher was with him and was telling him to give the netbook to her, he went crying back to class. Once he got back to class he apologised to the teacher for playing games outside.

We all enjoyed ourself and I am looking forward for next year.

Prompt 5!!!!

This afternoon me and my friend named Sarah wanted to play round with the Vaccum. What I do is put  the Vaccum on and then put it on Sarah’s hair and then she had to put on glasses so the air can not go into her eye. Later on Tony my friend came and knocked on the door and he wanted to play because he heard the noise out the window so he came and asked if he can play as well.

After that there was a problem because Sarah did not want her hair to get blowen because she just wash her hair she asked me if I can get blowen but I said “Sorry but I don’t want my hair blowen because I had the idea first sorry maybe next time I could do it”. Later on we put the hair blower down and sat down and we had to think how can we get Sarah to get her hair blowen.

After that Sarah came downstairs and told me that she wants her hair messy so she can go and have a shower again. So we got the hair blower and turned it on and we blowed it on Sarah’s hair so Sarah got very happy that she was not afraid anymore to blow her nice shiny hair but now her hair is now messy she can wash it again in the shower.

Prompt Writing 2

One day me and my family went to the beach for summer. Later on we went and brought some food from the supermarket.

After that we went to the beach at Mission Bay where lots and lots of people go and have a swim. Once we got to the car we had to sit down and wait until we got to the beach.

Later on when we got to the beach we had to get our clothes and our bags so we could get our stuff ready on the sand. Once we got to the sand we lay down the mat and some people went to the toilets to get changed into their swimming togs.

Once everyone got changed some people were going to have a swim in the sea. When everybody got to the sea mum and dad passed over the swimming board to me and my sister Sarah and my brother’s that went into the sea with me.

Later on my mum called me to come and have some KFC for lunch. After that when we had our KFC me and my sister went and had a walk around the beach so we could let our food settle.

The Rosary!!!!

The Rosary is a special group of prayers. They are the Creed, the Our Father, the Glory Be and Hail Marys.

To say a degate we have to pray the Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and the Glory Be. The Rosary has prayer beads and a crucifix and also a medal. The crucifix is at the end and the holy medal has Mary on one side and Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other side.  

Squash!!!

Today was my first time playing a game called Squash. After morning tea we had to line up outside the classroom so we can go to the hall to play some Squash.

Once we got to the hall we saw Phil standing outside waiting for us to come in. So we walked into the hall and sat down on the floor. Later on Phil said “ Who was not here yesterday and had not played Squash” so I put my hand up and they asked me to come up and have a try at hitting the ball with the racket. After that people was telling me to say yes so I said yes then I went up and got a racket and a ball. Phil was going to serve and then I had to hit the ball. Once I have finished practising Squash people was clapping for me and then I went and sat down.

Later on we had 20 second to choose a court before the time starts. After that the time was starting and they gave us 6 minutes to play and the 2 people that has the highest score then they have to move up and if they have the lowest score then they have to go downer a court.

Michael started the 6 minutes and then we  had to start the game  before the time has finished. While the time was going to Miss G came to us and ask us how many points do we got and then I said I have 4 points and I needed to get 1 more to catch up to Albert and Christopher.

After that we had to stop and put the racket and ball down at the court. Then we had to go and sit down and say goodbye to Michael and Phil because they were only going to be here for 3 days and it was Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday these were the only days that were going to play Squash thats why we had to say goodbye.

Squash was first played in Harrow School, England around 1830. You have to wear safety goggles to protect your eyes and to stop the sweat going inside your eyes, also you have to wear shorts and a t-shirt. Ramy Ashour from Eygpt and Nicol David from Malaysia are the top two squash players in the world.

First week of the holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First week of the Holidays

First week of the Holidays have already past. 

For the first week of the holidays I went to a holiday programme down at school I was leading it with one of the other girls Angelica.

The holiday programme is a lot of fun you meet new people and there are a lot of games to play and activities to do. 

Halamehi the lady that runs the holiday programme provides us with food and things to play with.

We play all sorts of games like bench ball, jockeys  cat n mouse, Chinese whispers, quiz games, and song games. Some games that we played were really intense when the big kids played they were so fast and big especially when it came to the games cat n mouse and jockeys.

Some times the groups would go and come up with a chant, a song, they have to have two soloist to sing, and two dancers for a dance off.

On the last day of holiday programme Halamehi always has something for everyone she gives treats for the star people, the leaders get their treat, the teams get their own feed, and the ones who led the holiday programme gets a treat too.

Its fun watching everyone laughing and catching up with each other and seeing everyone just having fun.

Cant wait for the next holiday programme

Last day of school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow the holidays have gone by so fast.
I've had some fun not being at school being free, doing whatever I want, sleeping in, and going out.  Now going back to school getting ready for the last term of the year and sadly my last year at Saint Pius X School.

Last day of my holidays!!!!!!!!

Sitting here doing typing test so when I get back to school I go faster at typing test this is my highest score on typing test. I am so happy at myself because this is my highest highest score but 60 is my highest highest score.

Titanic book now!!!!

This is my book that I read last night an it was called Titanic. i finally have finished this book because I was given it briefly at the beginning of the year for my year before's award from prize giving. I think you can make amazing things. I can make party gifts, rocket ships and much more. I would recommend this book for you to read over the holidays because you can make a few things if your bored :)

Last day of school holidays!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody and right now I am getting ready to go and watch Planes at the movies because it is the last day of the school holidays I cant wait until the end of the year.

When we get there we are going to book our tickets and go straight to our special seats. Later on I am going to cry because I am am going to miss the school holidays.

What I did for the weekends!!!!!

What I did in the weekend

It was Saturday morning the sun was shining brightly. I got dressed and my uncle picked me up and my cousin was in the car. We went to Sylvia Park and walked all the to Kiwi Yo. What I had from Kiwi Yo was I had a Red Velvet ice cream, MnM's, Whipped cream, Brownies, Oreo's and hot Chocolate sauce. It was so YUMMY!!!!!.  Once me and my cousin had finished our ice creams we went Super Bowl. When we got there there was loud music and disco lights flashing it was cool.  We got 22 tokens each the game I loved the most was Deal or no Deal there was many other games I loved but that was my favourite. We had to go home after that It was such a fun day.

Then my six cousins (including me) and my aunty went over to my cousins house. We had dinner, for dinner we had pizza it was DELICIOUS!!!!. I was so full after that I was so tired I was the first one to go to sleep. I was the first one to wake up in the morning, then all of us went to the pools we spent a long time there. I was in the middle of the wave part it was so fun it was going up and down up and down, but we had to leave once we all got dressed.  Then we were hungry so we decided to go and have some lunch. We got Fish n Chips and we went to the Park the sun was shining I felt so hot I felt like I was in an oven. Once we finished our food we play some games like Octopus and Stuck in the mud and relays and many more other games. I t was such a fun day I would do it again.

Yesterday night I went and had a shower to get ready to go to the MOVIES at Sylvia Park. 

The movie that we were going to watch was Grown Up 2 it was very very funny because there was a necklace inside the babies diper so the mum went and got it out and after that the baby said " Owww thats cold".

Exersice day today !!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I went to Panmure Basin near the pools we had ti run around that basin. Once we got there we had to walk down so we can go to the Panmure bridge it was short and we had to walk around like a circle. 

Once we got back I saw Alecia riding her bike on the skating path with her family that was so cool. So once we got back home I and a shower and came and watched t.v forever. See you guys later just wait until I watch Ice Age finished see you guys later.

Diary day 8!!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody now what I am doing is eating three lollypops and just had finished drinking frozen coke from burger king it is only $1.00 but at the macdonalds they have any size you can get any size you want only for 1 dollar so cheap. See you guys later.

What I am looking to today is playing outside with my brothers and sisters and also my friends. What we are going to play is some jumping on the trampoline.

MY HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a marvelous Sunday noon after church my family and I hurried to the car. We had to hurry to the car because we were going to go to a garage sale. So we left church and drove back home to get changed for the garage sale. 

When we all got changed and ready we drove off. The garage sale was at Mt Wellington. But instead of going to Mt Wellington we went to Sylvia Park. When we got into Sylvia Park we saw my Aunty Fusi and her kids. She also came with her husbands little brother his name was Villiami. I said to my Dad with crying, "what are we doing here?" He said that we were going to the Movies.

When we met together I was really thrilled because we were going to the Movies. I was wondering what we were going to watch.

So we went to the Movie Theatre and booked our tickets and seats. The Movie that we were going to watch was Despicable Me Part 2. I had already seen Despicable Me Part 1 and it was really cool so I thought that Part 2 would be really funny.

We started to buy the Food but then they were too expensive so me and my Aunty Karissa went to Pak'n'Save to buy some Ice creams. After we had bought the Ice creams my Aunty and I rushed back to the Theatre.

When we got back to the Theatre everyone was already sitting down on the couches and eating the Popcorn. While we were waiting my cousin and I went to the Arcade Room with my Dad. My Dad was playing a game, it looked really fun so I joined him.

After when my Dad and I lost and died in the game it was time to go back and wait. When we entered the Cinema it was dark as the nights sky, but we could see a little bit. When we had found our seats we all sat down and my Dad passed the Popcorn to us and we waited again.

The Movie was about a spy who really becomes a spy and has a partner to protect the world. In some parts it was really funny and in some parts were really weird.

My highlight in the Movie was when another Bad Guy makes a kind of chemical that makes people or animals turn into a Purple Monster.

Hello everyone I had just finished eating my breakfast in the kitchen. What I ate was five toasts and a yummy chocolate milo that was very yummy. 

When I was eating I put another toast inside the toaster but when I finished eating my first toast my little sister  came and took my second toast and she was laughing.

My favourite rugby team!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Favourite team on rugy is the All Blacks and The Rabbitohs because they work hard as a team every game. I like the Rabbitohs because they have some of my favourite players Greg Inglis, Nathan Merritt and Adam Reynolds. In the All Blacks I like Richie Mcaw and Daniel Carter.

Hello everyone sorry that I did not post anything I did this morning this morning because the battery for the computer was low sorry about that.

In the morning I always watch T.V. I watch Disney Channel. My favourite programe on Disney Channel is God Luck Charlie because there is a family who is very funny and also talented.

After  watched that I watched Alvin and the chipmunks it is very funny and very cool I wish I was with them they all look cute and wonderful.

MAN!!!! my mum is not going to wake up and I should go and cook scramble egg only if there is egg and maybe some toast and a hot chocolate milo. For my lunch I will only have fruit so I can be fit and for dinner we are still thinking what should we eat for dinner:) CANT WAIT UNTILL LUNCH

America's Cup we lost:(

I am so sad that we did win the Cup but congratulations Oracel you have done a great job keep it up.
Maybe next time we can have race so we can win the cup but cross your fingers if we will have another race and we will win that cup so we can bring it back home where it belongs :)

Pinata making for South America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This term we have been making South American pinatas so we can show to the 2 other classes and they are also seniors.First of all we all had a ballon so we blow the ballon a then tie the top so the air can not come out. After that we had to cut old newspaper out and then glue it on the ballon. Once we all finish Miss G had to come and hang it up on the hanging line. So we leave it to dry for 2 or 3 days then we can put anohter layer on top of the first layer so we have to have 8 layers before we can decorate because if you don't have eight layers then you won't have a pinata. 

Late on we had to pop the ballon and we had to glue white paper on top of the newspaper. So we leave to dry during the holidays Once we get to school next term we will decorate it and put lollies and scrap of paper inside of the pinata.

Here is a photo of a South American pinata that I an going to design next term. It is out of those 2 to design.

My Maths!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have very excited news when I went on Xtra maths it says that I have improved well in the holidays. All the time I go on Xtra Maths and also Math Whizz I love those 2 websited. 

Maybe next time I could improved more so I can prove that I am going to be good a maths. I just want to say to myself a WELL DONE FOR DOING LOTS OF MATHS.

Ten fast fingers !!!!!!!!!!!

I can believe that my score came up this is my highest score because I keep on practicing in the holiday an then my dream came true my highest score came I thought that my old highest score that is 49 came up but it did not thank you.

Maybe next time my highest score should be 79 I wish it was.

Time for Math Whizz!!!!!!!!!

Right now I am going on Math Whizz so I can get better and better at my basic facts. I am on stage 4 for basic facts and I am trying to get up to stage 5 by the end of the year. By the end of the year I am going to improved because I am going to the two websites to practice my basic facts and they are called Math Whizz and the other website is Xtra maths.

By the end of the year I am going to be very happy because I got up to stage 5 and my mum is going to be proud of me.

New Zealand got Talent, Replay !!!!!!!!!!

The channel that I am watching is the New Zealand got Talent replay it is very fun my favourite actors are the MDM they have 3 boys that are singing When I was your man by Bruno Mars that is my favourite song. Maybe next time I could sing it to other people that are shy and people that are so sad. See you guys later.

Morning Time!!!!!

Good morning everyone last night I woke up at 1:38 am and planned that I should come and post something to my blog about what I did last night. So I woke up and watched t.v and went and had some cereal at the kitchen. After that I came back and watched t.v while I am eating my breakfast. Later on I will do something else that is very fun instead of watching t.v.

My dinner!!!!!!!! YUM

My dinner was Pork and Taro it was very nice of my mum and dad to cook my family dinner. Later on I came back and played on the computer some games and play music on youtube. 

My dinner was very yum now I feel hungry for some cake but I am so tired to get my cake.

Pinata ideas!!!!!!!!!

Right now I am searching up some ideas to decorate my pinata next term on the first day of school. The pinata that I like was having beautiful colored cones on the sides and cutting papers into pieces and putting it onto the pinata.

Maybe next time I will decided it with my partner Rachel so we know it so when we decorate the pinata we don't know what to do so we have to decide it with a partner. Bye see you later while I practice my basic facts and practice my typing.

Me and my family are here sitting in the boring living room sitting here watching the boring t.v. While I was watching t.v I wanted to come and post something to my blog about me and my family watching t.v. So I decided to write about this.

This morning I wrote about me watching t.v and watching rugby with my dad. Maybe next time I can just do something like playing games or posting something to my blog.

Finished eating a chocolate cake with blue and white cream on top. After when I ate that I came and took some photos of me. Later on I will watch Harry Potter and the dealthy tonight at 7:30. 

After that I will go straight to bed so I can sleep for tomorrow because tomorrow I will play and watch television all day.

In the holiday's all I am doing is babysitting my little cousin it is so boring. After that go I will be going outside with my cousin to play some rugby and to run around the wet grass.

While I am outside I will play hide and go seek with him because he likes playing that game.

Next time when I babysit I will make them a bottle of milk and a bottle of juice!!!!!!!

Me and my mum was on Ten Fast Fingers because my mum wanted to type faster then me. So we went on it and me and her was versing each other. I was so sad because she was beating me so has 101 and I only had 60. My mum types very fast faster then me. I hope I will catch up to you.

Diary day 2!!!!!

Good morning everyone and today is going to be fun better than yesturday I am going to watch Charlie and the Choclate factory. After I watched that I am just going to play outside with my teddy bear called John. 

While I am playing with my teddy bear I am going to come back inside have my shower and head straight to bed to sleep for tomorrow because I am going to the park in the morning tomorrow.

JUST FINISHED SLEEPING

I just finished sleeping my dad told me to sleep for 2 hours and I will wake up at 5:00 pm so I woke up and checked the time if it was 5 so I went to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth.

After that my dad told me to come and eat some fresh apples and some oranges for dinner and for lunch because I had no lunch while my mum is gone out somewhere. Later on I will plan to write some more recounts about my boring holiday tonight.

MY EXERCISE TO THE SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

My exercise started 15 minutes ago I walked to shop 2 times so I can be very, very fit because i can not fit my clothes. After that i came back home and decided to post something about me walking to the shop 2 times.
Later on I will watch the X FACTOR REPLAY later on 7:30 pm I hope that are singing on stage has a clear voice. Perhaps I can just run around my room and play with my sisters and brothers.

LAUNDRY DAY TODAY

Today instead of watching t.v I should help my my Aunty do the laundry outside. The clothes that we are hanging up later are my school clothes because they are very dirty and they are very smelly as well. 

Later on we have to go to the shops to by me lollies because I helped my Aunty do my laundry and her laundry as well. After that I am going to come back and watch my boring t.v again in the middle of doing my laundry. EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE HOLIDAY.

Today I am planning to just watch t.v for the school holidays watching t.v is so boring. I hope that today is going to be very fun watching lots of channels on television. 

Next term I hope that Room 3 is going to be very happy that they are back in school with their friends.

Duffy Theatre

WOW ! everyone is excited about the duffy show. St Pius X is very happy that they are going to watch are very excited duffy show.

After morning there was a very excited experience in the school hall. Once everyone was at the hall we saw three people standing in the front they had to say their name and what the show was all about. The topic of the theatre was Duffy loses his words. Later on they went and got ready to perform in front of the whole school. They were here to tell us about reading and to experience acting.

Once they were ready we saw that they had names on their shirts and the names were Duffy, Afi and Scruffy they were very silly when they were acting. After that a teacher came out and said her name was Miss Arthur and she told Afi and Duffy to read a book.

So Afi came and read the book when she does not know how to read a book. While she was reading the book she stopped at a very hard word for her and she told Duffy to tell her what was that word and Duffy said to sound it out.  Afi read it again and she was trying to sound the word out but she still does not know how to say the word.

When Afi did not know how to say the word she went and told Duffy to tell her what the word is so when she went and ask Duffy to tell her he gave her the word so Afi was very happy.

I felt very happy that they came and tell us about reading and sharing their reading with us and I really enjoyed the show about Duffy loses his words.

My favourite part was when Afi could not sound the word out from the book and then she went and she went and told the word to Duffy so when Duffy told her the word she was very happy that she got the word off Duffy.

I hope they come again in the near future to tell us more about reading.

Typing Test 2013

Kids 4 Kids Concert

On a beautiful morning there were 15 different schools attending the Kids 4 Kids at the Life Convention Centre, Mangere. Room 3 was going to represent our school. Room 3 was very excited because that was Room 3’s first time going to the Life Convention Centre to sing and dance.

Once we got to the centre we were very anxious because we would be on stage and singing and there would be an audience looking at us singing, we were all feeling very scared. When we got inside we had to sit down on these comfortable chairs and wait for Chris to come up on the stage and say the names of the schools so we could sit down on uncomfortable chairs on stage. Chris came up on stage and said “Hi everyone, this is Kids for Kids rehersal”. Chris called the names of the schools, I felt nervous waiting for us to be called. We got up and walked up onto the stage and we had to sit on these bouncy, uncomfortable benches, the benches were planks of wood that really hurt us when we sat down too long.

Once everyone was sitting on the chairs Dayna and Chris called Jackie Clark and Nathan King to come on stage to introduce themselves to everyone. Once Jackie and Nathan finished talking Jackie said that we had to sing a song called Haere Mai. We never knew that we had to do actions with the song. The actions were to wave your hand when we sang Haere Mai. After that we kept on going with the first half. After the first half we had to go and have our morning tea, we were all feeling very hungry. While we were eating Dayna said “If you need some fresh air you can take a walk outside but you are not allowed play on the grass because it is wet”.

Later on after morning tea we all had to go back on stage and do the second half.  Once Jackie and Nathan got up on the stage Jackie said “Can everyone sing Gumboots.”. So we all sang Gumboots and once it was finished we had to wait for the next song and it was called Glorfillia so we sang the song. After the second half we had to come back from the stage and walk quietly outside where our bus was.

Once we got to the bus we had to hop inside the bus so we can go  back to school. Once everyone was in the bus Mrs Deeney had to count the children to make sure everyone was in the bus. She said “finally everyone is in the bus so we can go”. The bus driver drove on the road. Some of us were very tired in the bus, we were beginning to sleep while the others were talking. I felt very sleepy because I was on that stage too long and the lights were very hot.

My favourite thing about Kids 4 Kids was eating my healthy lunch and the other thing was singing Haere Mai because I like waving my hands lots.
