Pool Description.

The pool arrived 2 weeks ago and it is 15 metres long and 1 metre deep.

Inside the pool our voices echo what we are speaking because the pool is indoors.
The warm pool feels comfortable and it also tickles us like feathers when we just get into the pool. The pool smells like chlorine and it is smelly all the time.
The blue pool is seen on the courts under a tent. The pool belongs to a Cluster of schools - Mt Wellington Trust is the best place to find out about the pool.
The warm pool stays still and when we speak it echos our noise again.
The expensive pool is used for lessons, practising how to swim and also for fun.
The blue pool is special because it is lucky because everyone gets to have a turn to hop into the pool so we can practise to swim and have to have fun.
The lovely pool  is big and blue like the sky. The pool is as smelly as a rubbish bin. The dirty pool is cold like snow and as deep as a pond. Its waves are a bit like the sea and the walls of the pool are curved like a skateboard ramp. The ground around the pool is wet like it has been raining and the water is see-through like the wind. The water is calm just like a mirror.
The special thing about the pool is swimming, playing and loving to practise to swim.

I LOVE swimming because I like having free time and learning how to swim.  Jillian and Kevin are the best swimmers in Swim Magic and they are the people that are teaching us how to swim so we can be the best swimmers in St Pius X Catholic School. I love SWIMMING :)

My ADORABLE TEDDYBEAR :)

This teddy bear called Fuzzy is cute and soft and he is a boy, he loves to cuddle people and smells like pancakes. His favourite fruit is oranges and his favourite thing to eat is pancakes but he cannot eat those thing because he is a teddy bear and he cannot open his mouth.

He looks like a Christmas teddy bear and he has big ears, and big feet like a elephant.

Fuzzy does nothing because he cannot move, but he can snuggle in and sleep with  me and he makes people smile.

My furry friend likes a hug from me and my family and also other people. My brown friend dislikes people that rip his skin and say stupid things about him and the biggest thing he dislikes is people throwing him around.

My cuddly friend is special because he loves everyone and he loves to smell pancakes. He is also special because he likes Christmas because he loves to see other people’s presents.

My friend Fuzzy is loving and kind to me and other people. He can make me smile. I LOVE MY TEDDY BEAR he is the best teddy bear in the world.

Cookie Protector :)

Yesterday afternoon we had to construct our own protection to protect the cookie from the cookie monster. The equipment that we needed to build our cages is cellotape, 2 metres of string, A3 paper, scissors and 10 straws. My partner Tokilupe was a good builder to build our own secret cage, the shape of the cage is a square. I love my cage.

Moving to Melbourne, Australia.

During the holidays my mum said that we were going overseas to Sydney on Thursday.

I woke up and it was Thursday I said to myself “I am going to Sydney and if I don’t wake up we will be late”. So we all woke up and went quickly to the airport. When we got to the airport there was lots of people standing by the Air New Zealand check-in. Later on we all rushed to the line and standed for 40 minutes in line. Finally we were first in line and when the worker called our names we rushed to the check-in and the ladie said “ Can I have your passports please” so we gave our passports to her and she said “ Here is your passports  can i have your baggage and can you put on top of the baggage claim so we got all of the baggage and put it on top of the baggage claim and after that she pressed a button that say baggage claim move. So after she pressed the button it moved and after that she said to go upstairs and go to your gate because there is only 2 more minutes before the gate closes so we ran fast as we could to the gate. When we got to the gate the women said “ Can I check your tickets please” so we gave the tickets to the women and after she looked at our tickets she scanned to see if this is the right person that’s going aboard Air New Zealand.

10 minutes late we walked through and we saw a huge plane thats called Air New Zealand after we hopped  on-board we were looking for our special seats then we walked to the back and we found our seats. After we found our seats we all put our baggage on the overhead lockers then after that we had to sat on our seats and waited for everyone to finish with their stuff. Later on the speaker was on and it said “ Everyone can you put your seatbelts on” so we quickly put our seat-belts on. After that the plane moved slowly taxied to the runway.2 minutes later we got to the runway and the plane stopped and the speaker said “ We are going to take off and this is going to take 3 hours and 50 minutes so can everyone put their seat-belts tightly”. After that the plane was shaking and it took off to the sky and the speaker said “ We will be giving out food and drinks out right now” so they went from the back to the front so we ordered 7 hot chips and also 7 coca-cola and we ate and drank everything that we ordered. 60 minutes later the speaker said “ We are going to land into Sydney International airport”. later on we landed into Sydney and the speaker said “ We are sorry everyone there is no gates left for us to get through we are just going to wait until a gate to free to go in”.

After that there was a gate that was for free so the security said “ Go to gate 4 please” so the pilot went to gate 4 and parked perfectly after that the speaker said “ Can everyone get their baggage and went out the door and walked quickly to security. After that we got to security and they said “ Can I have your passports and can you put your baggage on the x-ray” so we gave our baggage, passports and tickets to the security and they asked us to walk through the x-ray so we all walked through the x-ray and they gave our baggage, passports and tickets back and we walked and got our 10 baggage that was left. After that we got our baggage and walked out a sign that says Way Out so we walked through that sign and we saw our aunty and her family so we ran and hugged her and her family and went to the van and we put our baggage and our bags into the car and went back home and takeaway for dinner and some of mcdonald for dinner as well BEST DAY EVER.

All about Swimming.

This term we got excited because the swimming pool had just got here. After we had our class photo we went and got changed into our swimming gear and went quickly to the swimming pool before we were too late.

The instructor said “Can everyone come into the pool one by one and stand by the wall”. After that we listened carefully to the instructor and she said “Can everyone grab a board and after you get a board stand by the wall”.

Later on the instructor told us “Do you guys know how to do the arm circles? if you do not know then we will now show you how to do it” so she did it and said “One by one people are going to do the arm circle”. After that everyone got to do the arm circle from one end to the other end. When we got to the other end we got to play so the instructor could do the other people. After that we had to do it again so we all had a race to the other end and then we got to play until the instructor had finished with the other people.

When she was finished with the other people we had to do gliding. When we did gliding we had to put our backs to the wall because if you did not put your back to the wall then that is called cheating. When the instructor told us to put our backs to the wall she showed us how to do gliding. This is what she did - she put her back to the wall and she put her face between her arm and she pushed with her legs and glided to the other side and when she got to the end she had to glided 3 times so everyone knew how to glide. When she got to the other side she said “Can everyone come one by one from that side to the other side?” she pointed at the first two and said “Both of you can you glide from that side to this side” so me and Manu said “Yes we can”. Me and Manu got to the other side and she said “Good job you two” and we said “You were good as well”.

Jillian said “Do you guys want a race or free time?” everybody shouted “FREE TIME”. So Jillian let us have free time for 4 minutes. After four minutes I told everyone “Come to the end and go under the water” but Jillian said “when I count to 10 and you guys don’t get out you will not swim again on Tuesday” so we went out of the pool and got changed. After that we had to eat our lunch, BEST DAY EVER.

Spirit of Truth

We have been learning about being the Spirit of Truth and being a good role model out in the playground.  Here is the movie my group and I made about doing exactly that.
