Tiakina a Tangaroa

One day Sophie and her friends wanted to go to the sea to practise swimming and diving in the reserve. When they got to the sea they were very excited that they got to have their first time under the sea. After that the children had to put their swimming clothes on and their goggles on and that they all ran into the sea with their boards. Once they got to the sea they went to the place that was very deep. They had to count up to three and then go under the water to swim or dive. Once they got under the sea they saw long-armed brittle stars and a crab called papaka and plus they saw muscles. Later on the children went and got changed into dry clothes and got inside the car and went back home so they could eat the seafood  for dinner.

All about Badminton.

Badminton is a game with a racket and shuttlecock which is hit over the net using the racket.

The equipment that we use to play the game is a racket, shuttlecock and a net. These are the stuff we need to play the game. Badminton is a simple game to play all you do is hit the shuttle over the net and the other person has to hit is back. In badminton the points that you always have to have is 21 points. A shuttlecock is made out of plastic and if it is a competition it is made out of goose feathers there is also a net.

We have to wear shorts, a top and sports shoes. Between 1st and 2nd games, there will only be an interval 90 seconds and no cheating. These are the rules for badminton.

Badminton makes your body fit and badminton has a lots of health benefits. If you know how to play you can teach other people who do not know how to play and it can keep you healthy and fit.
Badminton is a very good sport because it is good exercise especially if it is a singles match. It is very good for you because you can run around the court. You can hit the shuttle however you like. You can hit it low, high, fast, slow, soft or rough it. I like Badminton because it is good exercise and it is a simple sport for you to learn.

A Rainbow bird from South America.

  Macaw                           Antbird

Once upon a time in South America there was lots of brown birds that always wanted to be colourful they tried to get themselves colourful they tried berries leaves but they did not turn colorful. Later on when they were all quiet a bird from heaven called a Phoenix he came down to them. Phoenix said “Can you come and help me get rid of the Roaches that are eating the rainbow” some of them said yes and the other birds so no because that is not their business so they all went up to the rainbow.

Once they got to the rainbow they saw thousands of roaches on top of the rainbow. While the Roaches were eating the rainbow the roaches saw the brown birds so they went down and tried to get rid of the birds. They went all over the birds and when the roaches were on the birds the birds were eating them to get rid of them.

Later on all the roaches were gone and the birds flew all the way to the rainbow once they got to the rainbow they all went through the rainbow and they were so pleased that their wish came true they were all colourful. Once they got back to the forest the other birds that did not help they were jealous because they were brown and they wanted to be colourful like the other birds. The brown birds were so sad that they were not colourful.
